Newborn Photography: Why I love it so much!

I absolutely love being a newborn photographer! I get this rare opportunity to meet these amazing families every week and then I get to help them document what is probably one of the most important moments of their lives. Newborn photography is a way to capture a moment in time that we all know passes way too quickly. In just a month so much changes with a baby. Those tiny details are things we can never get back and I get to provide families with a timeless way to remember those moments.

Creating a personalized Newborn Photography experience

I start by talking with families to determine what’s important to them so I get to design sessions that are catered to the individual vision of each client. I love seeing the adoration in their eyes as I pose them with this new little human they’ve created and then capturing that moment for them to keep forever. It’s a pleasure photographing their newborn in a way that allows them to remember each and every detail. While baby snuggles are a huge bonus with newborn photography I have to say my favorite part is the reveal appointment. Seeing the emotion on a mom and dad’s face as they look through their gallery has to be the most amazing part of being a newborn photographer.

It’s not always easy. I can’t just tell a baby what I want them to do. It takes a ton of skill and even more patience to be a newborn photographer, but the rewards are totally worth it! I feel honored by each family that trusts me with such a beautiful fleeting moment on their journey.
